Dance- Dutch teenage sisters, Norah, Yarah and Rosa are dance phenoms. Whenever you need a little pick me up, watch and revel in their talent, joy and a better future.
Music- Listen in to "We Insist" NPRs playlist of 2020 Protest Music inspired by George Floyd and the subsequent uprising against police brutality, this will continue to be added to through the year.
Film- Enola Holmes, this just released family friendly Netflix film is a welcome girl powered respite. Milly Bobby Brown is the lil' sister of Sherlock Holmes, who goes to London in search of her missing mother. Loved watching this with my son, but would watch it on my own in heartbeat.
Read-"How to Fight" by Thicht Nat Hahn. The Zen Master really packs it in this tiny pocket sized book. His brief reflections/ meditations teaches us if we understand our own suffering, we can then help and reach reconciliation between ourselves and even nations. Great tool, for calming one's rage, just sayin....
Spirit- Listen to Rev. Angel Kyodo Williams interviewed by Krista Tippet on "Why 2020 hasn’t taken the Rev. by surprise". Then listen to her original interview from 2018 and believe in a living prophet.
Fine Art Street Art- Mexican artist Victoria Villasana's mixed media portraits revere progressive politicians, artists and activists with color, geometric patterns, yarn and textiles....OBSESSED.
