TV - "Say I do”  Binge watch this new Netflix series to get out of your head & into your heart.  It's like Queer Eye for LOVERS and will turn your sappy, hopeful tear faucet on high.

 

Comedy - Comedian Sarah Cooper is a Trump mimicking viral / TikTok sensation. Just when you think you can’t take it anymore she will pop up in your feed and give you the perfect dose of comic relief. (Bonus tip - fun to watch with kiddos 9+)

 

Film - I am Not Your Negro is a 2016 documentary based on an unfinished James Baldwin book that tells the story of racism in the United States through the lives and deaths of Medgar Evers, Malcolm X, and Martin Luther King Jr.  Prepare to be moved. A must watch on Netflix.

 

Music - Americana-roots musician Rhiannon Giddens, has been challenging white supremacy in country music for years.  You can hear the classical training in her voice control. She's  just released  a duet with Ben Harper, a cover of Nick Drake's Black-Eyed Dog, then dive deep into her rich body of original song writing.

 

Sustainability - Seattle based sustainability consultant, Moji Igun should be your go to if you are ready to take your business or home to the next level of environmental best practices.. Let her break it down and guide you, it's more than recycling and composting. Did we mention she is also a CURA's contributing writer....

 

Listen, Read & Heal - Therapist &  Best selling author Resmaa Menakem's latest book My Grandmother's Hands examines white body supremacy from the perspective of trauma & body centered psychology. First, listen to his interview with Krista Tippet in the podcast ON being, then dive into this invitation to heal, both are linked on his website.
