The Cura Co and Judy Lee Photography workshop promotion - Raw Story Telling for women NORMAL

Join us for an inspiring evening of women speaking their truth on the topic of NORMAL. You are invited to come exclusively as a listener or a speaker. If you choose to speak, you will place your name in a bowl and names will be drawn randomly.

No matter how your speaking goes, you will be celebrated for being brave and daring to be seen and heard. You don't have to be a good speaker or performer because you will be valued just for showing up.

Story Guidelines:

Your story must represent your truth.

Your story should be a maximum of 5 minutes (speakers will be timed).

No notes are allowed. This is a practice of learning to trust yourself.

No self-promotion of your business, social media, website, etc. while on stage.

Tips:

Your truth lives in your body. The best way to prepare to speak from that place is to think about the story you want to tell and outline it either in your head or on paper. Pre-writing your story or memorizing is discouraged because it forces you to speak from your head. If you want to practice, try a physical activity like dancing, meditation, breathing, or walking before your speak. Getting into your body will help give you more presence and impact when you speak.

This event is open to women identifying and will be a safe environment in which to speak, feel truly heard and applauded (literally) for speaking your truth. All proceeds will be donated to Refugee Artisan Initiative whose mission is to partner with refugee and immigrant women to foster an inclusive, prosperous transition to the US through artisan skills training and micro business development.

Suggested donation $15 via Venmo @Akiko-Waters

This event is hosted by Judy Lee of Judy Lee Photography. She creates spaces for women to reconnect to their true selves through transformative portraits and experiences so they can embody radical self-love, trust and authentic expression. She is a WomanSpeak Seattle program Leader which focuses on empowering women to trust themselves and speak their truth.
