Amy Stone - Simple Is As Symbol Does Canvas Painting

Artist Statement Repurposing...

Think of it as a double entendre. I am not only repurposing materials to build texture, depth and an interesting element in my artwork, but in life I am continuing to do the same. I feel a transition happening, perhaps its post covid life, perhaps it's a mid-life, or the transition from my kids being very little, to getting older and learning how to deal with this change. Art has become the way I move through these life moments. Repurposing or finding purpose again from elements of past purpose.
